You should never paint over mold, it would only temporarily hide the problem but not solve it and probably even make it worse. Mold forms a root-like mycelium network that penetrates deep into the substrate and produces more and more spores over time, which can spread in the air. Mold should therefore be removed at an early stage to avoid the risk of it spreading and causing health problems.
