Production of calcium silicate boards
The products are manufactured from calcium silicate or calcium crystals. It is therefore a purely mineral building material consisting of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and calcium oxide (CaO). In addition, only water (H2O) and a cellulose or glass fiber reinforcement are added to increase flexibility.
Silicon dioxide and calcium dioxide are foamed in water and react to form a precursor of calcium silicate. After shaping, the tiny calcium silicate crystals grow in an autoclaving process in superheated steam and high pressure to form the fine-pored open structure. This results in the high capillary absorbency and the enormous water absorption capacity as well as the heat-insulating properties. The low proportion of cellulose gives the board a high degree of flexibility as well as edge stability.
The surface of the calcium silicate board and the pore structure have a special structure, which in turn ensures the many positive aspects. For example, this unique structure allows moisture to be removed quickly, so that any surface condensation has no chance. As a result, moisture is transported away permanently, stagnant moisture is avoided and mold is prevented from developing. At the same time, calcium silicate boards are highly alkaline and therefore naturally mold-inhibiting.
In summary, the panel absorbs excess moisture, stores it temporarily and then slowly releases it back into the room air. You also benefit from a healthy and self-regulating indoor climate, which is thanks to the good properties and materials of the panel and will be noticeable in your sense of well-being.

Calcium silicate boards are very open to diffusion and are laid without a vapor barrier. They ensure a pleasant indoor climate by actively regulating the humidity and at the same time keep the walls warmer. Calcium silicate boards are mold-inhibiting, non-combustible, age-resistant, rot-resistant, dimensionally stable and resistant to insects and rodents. They can be cut to size using standard woodworking tools such as a foxtail, jigsaw or circular saw and are bonded to the substrate using special adhesives.

Mineral raw materials are virtually unlimited in supply. No propellants, organic additives, or mineral fibers are used in production. The environmental impact of production is primarily due to the energy consumption during the autoclaving process.
Product recycling is only partially possible. Calcium silicate is considered normal construction waste and can be easily disposed of as such.

- Remove existing mold and clean the wall - Use mold EX if necessary
- Apply the Primer to the wall
- Cut your boards to size and moisten them with diluted silicate primer (you can continue working immediately without waiting, but this will make processing even easier for you
- Now apply the silicate adhesive to the wall or ceiling surface, align the calcium silicate boards and press them into place
- Now clean the surface and remove any dust
- Then apply the lime filler, allow it to dry and then sand it to the desired smoothness.
- For a smooth surface, use our premium silicate paint. If you want a slightly textured and rougher surface, finish with our roller & brush-on plaster instead of the silicate paint.
