Premium silicate paint white for a breathable finish on calcium silicate boards
Our premium silicate paint is ideal for calcium silicate boards or other mineral substrates. A major advantage of silicates is that they bond with mineral substrates (silicification takes place), which means that the surface remains breathable. This means that no mold will form if used correctly.
Processing recommendation
Before you start applying the silicate paint, it is important that the substrate is free of grease, dirt and dust. If you do not want to apply the paint to filled calcium silicate boards but to other mineral substrates (e.g. lime plaster, cement plaster, brick, concrete, old silicate paint), please use silicate primer (also available in our store). You can roll, brush or spray the paint. If you decide to spray, the S 4050A airless sprayer is best suited for this. To make the paint more economical, you can dilute the paint by a maximum of 10 % with water (note the absorbency of the substrate). During application, please pay attention to the room and substrate temperature. This should not be below 5°C.
