Special KP silicate adhesive for processing calcium silicate boards
The special adhesive is a high-quality ready-mixed dry mortar that is ready for use after mixing with water.
Can also be applied to gypsum plaster
A major advantage: our adhesive can also be applied directly to gypsum plaster without having to knock it off beforehand if the substrate is stable. For you, this means that you don't have to go to the trouble of removing the gypsum plaster (as with other products). This saves dirt, additional work and disposal costs. If you are unsure whether the existing plaster is gypsum plaster, apply the special primer to be on the safe side so that you can work with it without any worries.
Please note: This only works if our special primer for gypsum plaster has been applied beforehand!
Special KP silicate adhesive Consumption
- Consumption approx. 3.5 kg/sqm (depending on substrate)
- 1 bag is sufficient for approx. 6 to 7 m² (depending on the substrate)
Important information for processing
Mix the special adhesive in a clean container by stirring it into tap water (approx. 3 minutes).
The mixing ratio is 7.5 liters of mixing water per 25 kg bag.
We recommend that you do not mix more special adhesive than you can process in approx. 2 hours.
As this is a special adhesive, apply it to the intended surface (load-bearing substrate) with a notched trowel (minimum 8-tooth notch) while holding the trowel straight. Then press the calcium silicate boards onto the wall, starting from the bottom and working upwards. Also apply a thin layer of the special silicate adhesive to the panel joints, then place on the butt joint.
